FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


When should I arrive at tennis camp?
All campers should arrive between 12pm—1pm on first day of camp for registration.

Camp will begin at 1:30pm on the first day for all campers at McLeod Tennis Center.

Overnight campers will be transported from the dorm to McLeod.  Communters will need transportation after they have completed registration.

Where do I go for check in?
Check in is at Wall Gates Hall on campus.

Wall Gates Hall is located on the SW corner of Boston Avenue & 18th Street.

The address is 2803 18th St, Lubbock, TX 79406.

Where is camp?
Camp will be held at McLeod Tennis Center.

McLeod Tennis Center is located at 1002 Cancer Center Drive, Lubbock, Texas, 79430.

Commuter campers should be picked up and dropped off at the tennis center each day of camp except for the first day of camp where they will begin at Wall Gates Hall.

What do I need to bring to camp?

Will meals, snacks & drinks be provided?
Overnight campers will be fed all breakfast, lunch, & dinner. Commuters will be fed lunch everyday. Lunch is not provided for 1/2 day Commuters.

There will be plenty of water available for all campers. All campers are allowed to bring their own additional snacks and drinks if they wish.

Do I need to bring my own bedding?
Yes, please bring bedding for your stay. Campers will be staying in dormitories on campus and should bring bedding, sheets, blankets, pillow, towels, toiletries and whatever other sleep amenities that will make your stay comfortable. The beds are twin size.

What are the evening activities?
Evening activities will vary by camp date but will include on campus venues and local favorites. All evening activities will be supervised.

Do I have to pay for evening activities?
Evening activity will be included in the price for overnight campers. Commuter campers are encouraged to join us for evening activities but will be responsible for each evening activities’ fee.

What should campers wear?
Campers should wear clothes that are comfortable for them to participate in an athletic and competitive environment. Be sure to bring sunscreen and bug repelant. Summertime is HOT in West Texas!
